Christ is with us!

Happy feast!  We look forward to seeing you this evening at 6 pm for the Liturgy of St James.

Here's the bulletin for Sunday.

Please remember: the Holy Angels parking lot speed limit is 5 MPH.  We've been asked by Holy Angels numerous times to slow down.  This was a discussion item at their last parish council meeting.  They are our hosts so we owe it to them to abide by their rules.  Thanks.

November 8: I've spoken to the bishop about our plans to join with Holy Angels for their Hierarchical Divine Liturgy as they host Bishop Artur on their feast.  He supports our plan.  I realize there is no good solution.  We've been invited by Holy Angels to join them so we sincerely need to accept their gracious invitation with all due respect.  All the available Byzantine Rite priests in San Diego will be at that liturgy that day.  Any liturgy for St Jacob's on that day would start too late in the day so we risk too few parishioners showing up.  There is no coffee hour that day so we would expect even fewer parishioners.  I realize that some people are not happy with the decision.  Again, we've been invited and we should accept their invitation and wish them the best on their patronal feast.  Thank you.

Please keep praying for Alice and her family as they support their loving mother during this time of transition.  Please keep praying for all the sick and infirm members of our community.

In Christ,
Fr Shaun
